Check if someone is a member

To check if someone is already a member of the zine library:

1. Log in to the website using your own member account (you must have the right role) or the general Anchor Archive account. Go to Log in in the side menu and enter your username and password.
2. Once you are logged in, a new menu will appear in the right sidebar, below the user login link.  Look for and click on Search members.
3. You can search for the person by username, email address, first name, or last name.  A lot of member records are missing first name and last name, so it's best to search in username or email address. Enter text in one or more of those boxes and press Apply. 
4. Look for the person's account in the list of results that appear.  If you can't find it, the person probably isn't a member and will have to become a member by paying $2-10 or donating a zine.
5. If you do find the person's member record, check that their contact information is up-to-date. 
6. If contact information needs to be updated or you need to fill in their first name, last name, and/or phone number, you can click on their username to open their account, then click Edit. Update the fields and click Save.
7. On their user account page, you will also see if they have zines checked out.  Ask if they have been returned.  If their zines are more than 3 months overdue, the member can't borrow more zines they return the overdue zines or pay a replacement fee of $5 per zine. If this is the case, change their status to Blocked.
